Prezi – An online alternative to PowerPoint

preziI’am currently checking out Prezi. This is an online presentation tool similar to PowerPoint or Keynote. It does have a pretty neat approach of laying out the slides; although, while looking at a show it can make you dizzy. Check out this Prezi presentation so you can get an idea of what it’s capable of doing. There is a free portion along with some paid versions.

Zamzar – Online File Conversion

April 17, 2009 Leave a comment

zamzar1Zamzar.com is a free online file conversion site. It’s got a whole bunch of different file formats; from Image to word processing and video formats. They recently added an Audio portion which allows you to upload a text file and convert it to audio. Free text to speech! I haven’t really tried it out just yet, but looks promising. In order to receive the converted file you need to enter an email address in order for you to receive a link with the file. They have additional pricing plans if you want to have multiple file conversions and faster service.

Twiddla – Team Whiteboarding

twidlaTwiddla is a great tool to set up a quick meeting with a virtual whiteboard. It’s got a ton of features. My favorite is the ability to load up any website within the whiteboard. Once there, you can free draw and type text right over the page you are navigating. Best of all, it’s free and each room provides an easy link so that you can share with team members.
